The videos download quickly, and the program comes with category folders-Entertainment, Science, and Sports-into which videos can be organized. The browser function allows users to travel to the desired Web site and play a video, and the program automatically locates the video's URL and gives the user the option to download it. The program's major features are arranged with buttons down the side. The program's interface isn't entirely intuitive, but with a bit of experimentation it's not too hard to figure out. Hulu Downloader, however, actually delivers an effective and fairly easy-to-use set of tools for capturing and converting online Flash videos, such as those found on Hulu, YouTube, and other popular Web sites. But all the added abilities together makes roku's a no brainer today. We've seen quite a few programs that promise to capture Internet content in one way or another, and more often than not, these programs disappoint. Now realize that all of this content is available on the internet and you don't absolutely need a streaming device if you have a smart tv, you can download the apps. I see now that the new Ultra 4661 is in several big box black friday sales at around half price $49 vs $98, it has ethernet, micro sd slot, remote finder and JBL earphones, I have never seen a better deal in electronics than that so I have to get it. It also has an improved wifi antenna built into the cord which greatly improves weak signal reception. I have a coffee table full of remotes that look complex and futuristic like the samsung smart remote, but you know what?-I rather enjoy the simple functionality of the roku remote, very easy to use without looking at it and I use the voice search constantly to find content at the best price. I have always disliked the simple appearance of the remote and it has kept me from buying it until now. Got the streaming stick Plus at a discount, completely happy with it. I know we watch TV more on the weekends, and I can't tell if Mediacom is consistently reporting it on their website. I just don't know yet, and I'm monitoring the daily GB usage, which has varied between 8 GBs to 34 GBs. This is possibly due to having too many programs recorded initially on Youtube TV (which we used to DVR on Directv). So far in the first month, with 14 days to go, we've used over 630 GBs. plan for streaming, which doesn't look like even that will be enough. plan before and had to switch to a 1,000 GB/mo. My only concern (and I'm not sure if any of this is the Roku's fault) is that streaming seems to use a heck of a lot of GBs. I had them all hooked up and working in an hour or so, given that I had to set up Youtube TV and some other things on each of them. ![]() ![]() We have six TV's, only one of which is a smart TV, so I needed five Roku's. We have Google Wifi, and so far everything is working great with no problems or disconnects. The Roku Streaming Stick is simple to set up and easy to use, and it works great! I went with this model because it has the better internet connection. ![]()
